Business Manager – Full Time

Primary Functions and Scope of Position:

Provide the daily operational business responsibilities of the church and work with church members, leaders, vendors, community and staff to achieve the objectives of Covenant UMC. Provide secretarial and administrative services to the pastor; support the various ministries and activities of the church, church family, and those to whom the church serves; available for evening meetings that pertain to the office; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent written, oral and editorial communications skills from a Christian perspective; maintain a professional, punctual, Christian work ethic. Maintaining confidentially is required and must be highly regarded.

Required Strengths/Gifts:

Proficient in Microsoft office suite which includes publisher and outlook

Train to be proficient on Servant Keeper and QuickBooks

Works well under deadlines

Good organizational skills and very detailed oriented

Covenant Kids Director - Part Time 

We are seeking an individual who has a heart for God and a passionate calling to disciple children ages Nursery through 5th Grade in their knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and an applicable knowledge of child development. Responsibilities for this new staff person will include but not limited to working closely with the pastor, staff, and volunteers, being an active member in the life of the congregation, and engaging in community outreach. Specific responsibilities include: build working relationships with children, parents or care-givers, staff, and the congregation; develop and implement Children's Church, Nursery Care and Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and other yearly Children's events; recruit and train volunteers, including the Child/Youth Protection Policy; promote United Methodist camps; work with parents and volunteers to plan and promote ministry opportunities; assist in developing and work with a new Family Ministries committee; provide general oversight of all ministries involving children; plan and manage a financial budget for Covenant Kids.

This position is part-time with 20 to 25 hours expected weekly.

Director of Youth Ministries - Part Time 

We are seeking an individual who has a heart for God and a calling to minister to the challenging and exciting needs of youth and their families. Responsibilities of this new staff person will include but are not limited to workin closely with the pastor, stalk and volunteers, being an active member in the life of the congregation, and engaging in outreach to the community, especially through the area middle and high schools. Specific responsibilities will be to build working relationships with youth, parents of youth, staff, and the congregation; recruit and train adult volunteers; work with parents, youth, and volunteers to plan, promote, and implement ministry opportunities; provide general oversight of all ministries involving youth which include plan and lead biblical teaching opportunities (e.g. Confirmation classes using United Methodist curriculum) and retreats; plan opportunities for local and other mission outreach/trips; grow the ministry by reaching out to the surrounding community and schools; promote United Methodist camps; assist in developing and work with a new Family Ministries committee; follow and oversee adherence to the Child/Youth Protection Policy; plan and manage an annual financial budget for youth ministry.
