This special support group offers encouragement, information, and sharing for those faced with marital separation, in the process of divorcing, and those already divorced. (Book purchase required.)

DC4K Is On the Way!!!

Fall Sessions begin Sept. 18, 2008

Dear Parent, Guardian, or Friend:

Help for families experiencing divorce and separation is on the way. DC4K (Divorce Care for Kids) is a faith based, family centered program designed for children 5 to 12 years of age. We hope you will consider allowing you child to join us for this class.

Sessions include games, fun activities, arts and crafts, snacks, DVD dramas, stories or music. Each week through the Kids Like Me drama, the children will watch a group of elementary-age children, along with the help of two teenagers, learn to share their hurts and disappointments as well as their anger and sadness about their parents’ divorce.

In a second DVD story, Uncle Bill uses traditional faith based stories to help his niece and nephew, along with their friends, understand how other children and adults faced problems children of divorce face today.

Registration for Fall and Winter sessions is open now. Advanced registration is required. Please call 767-8544 for DC4K Registration packets now.

Our next DC4K group will meet on Thursday, September 18, 2008 on the same night as our adult Divorce Care program. The Winter session begins January 6, 2009. These classes will meet each week from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Covenant United Methodist Church, 3701 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Pt. Orange, FL. A fee of $20.00 for each child’s workbook is charged. Scholarships are available based on financial need.
