NEW CHURCH DIRECTORY

Picture dates: April 5-10th, 2010

Believe it or not, it has been 3 years since the last directory and it is time to plan again for the new one.

Please plan on being part of the new church directory by signing up for your setting time. IF YOU WILL BE HEADING UP NORTH SHORTLY, PLEASE SIGN-UP FOR THOSE EARLY DATES (we want you included)!!!!!

We will be using Lifetouch again and they are even better then ever.

LIFETOUCH is a NO PRESSURE SALES COMPANY (it is their policy). You will NOT be pressured into buying portrait packages but they will show you your setting pictures and you may buy a package IF YOU SO CHOOSE. But again, they are NO PRESSURE SALES.

Your portrait setting time is FREE, you get a FREE 8x10, and you will get a FREE church directory when they come out.

NEW  AND EXCITING THIS YEAR:

SIGN UP FOR YOUR PHOTO APPOINTMENT ON-LINE: This year, you may sign up on-line. It is simple. Please go to https://www.appointment-plus3.com/ap/covenantumc/index.php?page=10 to schedule your time. You may also go to our website and hit the link to the sign-up. Additionally, we will have a table set up in the narthex on Sundays so that you may sign-up for your photo appointment beginning March 7th.

BRING YOUR PET and GENERATIONAL PHOTOS: This year, you will be able to bring your family pet to be in the picture with you (if you so choose).

Additionally, they will be taking “generational” photos. If you have married children, or parents, or extended family that may not go to this church, but you want to have a photograph with, you will be able to schedule your photo for the church directory and then at the same time, either before or after, your setting time, schedule your extended family and Lifetouch will be happy to accommodate. You would need two appointments times scheduled for generational pictures.

PICTURES WITH A PURPOSE: This year we will be working with Lifetouch for the FEED THE NEED campaign. For each family or single who, on the day of their setting, brings canned goods in for Halifax Urban Ministries (HUM), Lifetouch will 1.) give a coupon for $5 off any portrait package you MAY purchase and 2.) will donate the value of 4 meals to Covenant for us to donate to HUM.

MILITARY FAMILY MEMBERS HONORED: This year Lifetouch will also be doing a free Military Page for us. If you have an immediate family member who is  currently a part of the military (not retired), you may send us a photo of the service member in uniform with their name, rank, branch of service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Reserves, or National Guard), and relationship to the member. Send us either a .jpg photo sent by e-mail to umc@jesusatcovenant.org or a hard copy photo BY APRIL 10th to be included on our military page. The hard copy photo will not be returned however the office MAY be able to scan one for you, please call 767-8544 if you need help with this.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: FINALLY, we need volunteers to help sit at the sign-up tables on Sunday and also to work check-in during the week that we will be taking pictures. If you are interested call the church office at 767-8544 and we will get you in touch with the Covenant Volunteer who will be overseeing the scheduling.

They are a vibrant  and spiritually rich group of believers in a very economically poor and remote area of Cuba about 8-10 hours outside of Havana (Entronque de Manati in Las Tunas).
If you borrow anything from the church please be sure to contact the church office first so we can put them on the chekout list.   If the office is closed you may call 767-8544 and leave a message of what you are borrowing.  We have folding chairs, a couple of tables, soft coolers, kitchen items and a wheelchair missing.
